Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's interferes with the synthesis of genetic material (DNA) and the growth of cells that multiply faster than usual, thereby helping in treating psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's. Stop taking Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's and consult your doctor if you have diarrhoea. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's can affect egg and sperm production and could lead to birth defects. Women of child-bearing potential and men using Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's must use effective contraception while on treatment with Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's and for at least six months after stopping the treatment. Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's belongs to the class of medicines called 'anti-metabolites and immunosuppressants' used to treat active rheumatoid arthritis, including polyarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, severe psoriasis, and severe psoriatic arthritis. Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's is used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, mycosis fungoides (type of blood cancer), and advanced stage non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (cancer that starts in the lymphatic system).

Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's contains 'Methotrexate' that works by interrupting the processes of the immune system that cause inflammation in the joint tissues. It reduces pain and inflammation and delays joint damage and disease progression over time. Besides this, Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's prevents and stops the growth of cancer cells, thereby helps treat cancer. Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's treats psoriasis by suppressing the overactive immune system that is responsible for causing psoriasis.

In some cases, Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's may cause common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, unusual fatigue, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, lowered resistance to infections, tingling sensation, leukopenia (decreased number of white blood cells), and soreness of mouth and lips. Directions for Use

Imutrex 10 mg Tablet 4's should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Tablet/capsule: Take it one hour after food in the evening or as advised by the doctor.
