Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's works by suppressing the overactive immune system that is responsible for causing psoriasis. Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's interferes with the synthesis of genetic material (DNA) and the growth of cells that multiply faster than usual, thereby helping in treating psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's. Stop taking Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's and consult your doctor if you have diarrhoea. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's can affect egg and sperm production and could lead to birth defects. Women of child-bearing potential and men using Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's must use effective contraception while on treatment with Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's and for at least six months after stopping the treatment. Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's can lead to infertility. Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's belongs to the class of medicines called 'anti-metabolites and immunosuppressants' used to treat active rheumatoid arthritis, including polyarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, severe psoriasis, and severe psoriatic arthritis. Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's is used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, mycosis fungoides (type of blood cancer), and advanced stage non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (cancer that starts in the lymphatic system).

Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's contains 'Methotrexate' that works by interrupting the processes of the immune system that cause inflammation in the joint tissues. It reduces pain and inflammation and delays joint damage and disease progression over time. Besides this, Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's prevents and stops the growth of cancer cells, thereby helps treat cancer. Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's treats psoriasis by suppressing the overactive immune system that is responsible for causing psoriasis.

In some cases, Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's may cause common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, unusual fatigue, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, lowered resistance to infections, tingling sensation, leukopenia (decreased number of white blood cells), and soreness of mouth and lips. Directions for Use

Imusis-5 mg Tablet 10's should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Tablet/capsule: Take it one hour after food in the evening or as advised by the doctor. Oral solution: Take the prescribed quantity by mouth using the dosing syringe.
