Hyruan 2.5Ml Injection belongs to the class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used in the treatment of knee pain due to osteoarthritis in patients who have failed to respond adequately to simple painkillers or physical therapy and exercise. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering of cartilage. Due to the absence of this protective covering, the joints rub against each other, leading to pain and stiffness.
Hyruan 2.5Ml Injection contains Sodium hyaluronate, which works by restoring synovial fluid in the knee that helps to lubricate and cushion the joint during movement. Thereby it reduces pain.
Hyruan 2.5Ml Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as pain, swelling, redness, and warmth at the injection site or fluid in the joint. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Sodium hyaluronate or products from birds such as eggs, feathers and poultry, inform your doctor before receiving Hyruan 2.5Ml Injection. If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman, inform your doctor before receiving Hyruan 2.5Ml Injection. Hyruan 2.5Ml Injection is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Hyruan 2.5Ml Injection should be used with caution in patients with pre-existing chondrocalcinosis (accumulation of calcium salts in hyaline cartilage or fibrocartilage) as it may lead to an acute attack of the condition.
