Gabastin Capsule 10's is a combination of five drugs: Pregabalin, mecobalamin, alpha-lipoic acid, folic acid and pyridoxine. Gabastin Capsule 10's is used to treat neuropathic pain. Pregabalin is an anti-convulsant that affects the chemicals in the brain that send pain signals across the nervous system. It works by binding to the specific site on voltage-gated calcium channels, this helps relieve nerve pain and lowers the risk of seizures. Mecobalamin is a vitamin that helps in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is also very useful in facilitating myelin and neurotransmitter synthesis. Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant that helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and brain. Folic acid is a vitamin that helps in providing essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Gabastin Capsule 10's helps in providing relief from neuropathic pain.  Additionally, Gabastin Capsule 10's may also be used to treat diabetic neuropathy, fibromyalgia and postherpetic neuralgia.
