About Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's

Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's belongs to the group of medications called 'ovulation stimulants' used to treat infertility in women who are not ovulating (producing an egg) properly or have irregular or no menstrual cycle. The problem with ovulation is a common cause of infertility in women.

Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's contains 'Clomifene Citrate' that works by stimulating the production of hormones responsible for the ovulation process.

Take Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's are flushing (reddening of the skin, especially the face), headache, tiredness, dizziness, breast pain or tenderness, heavy periods, or bleeding between periods. Tell your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen.

Do not take Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, have liver disease, unexplained and unusual menstrual bleeding, have a type of cancer that gets worse by hormones, or have an ovarian cyst. Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's is not recommended for pregnant women, children, adolescents, men, and post-menopausal women. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding as this medicine may affect the amount of breast milk produced.

Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's belongs to the group of medications called 'ovulation stimulants' used for fertility enhancement in women experiencing infertility due to problems with ovulation (production and release of an egg from the ovary). It works by stimulating the hormones that are necessary for the ovulation process.

Directions for Use

Swallow Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.

Side Effects of Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's

Drug Warnings

Do not consume Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's if you are allergic or hypersensitive to Clomifene Citrate or any other ingredients of Fmq-Kit Tablet 55's. Inform your doctor if you are having an early menopause, diagnosed as infertile, menstrual periods were stopped due to being underweight, previously diagnosed with fits or seizures (fits), uterine fibroids (non-cancerous tumours in the womb), polycystic ovaries (presence of small cysts on the enlarged ovaries), swollen ovaries, or hypertriglyceridemia (increased fat levels in the body) or a family history of hypertriglyceridemia.

Co-administration of Fmq-Kit Tablet with Bexarotene may increase the risk of pancreatitis, or inflammation of the pancreas.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction, Fmq-Kit Tablet can be taken with Bexarotene if prescribed by the doctor. Consult the prescriber if you experience symptoms of pancreatitis such as persistent nausea, vomiting, abdominal tenderness, and upper abdominal pain, especially that which is made worse after eating or radiates to the back. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.

How does the disease interact with Fmq-Kit Tablet:
Abnormal uterine bleeding: In patients who are not diagnosed with abnormal genital bleeding, Fmq-Kit Tablet is contraindicated. Evaluate the patients for the presence of neoplastic lesions.

The use of Fmq-Kit Tablet is contraindicated in patients with undiagnosed, abnormal genital bleeding.

Hepatic dysfunction: Fmq-Kit Tablet is contraindicated for patients who have liver failure or a past history of hepatic dysfunction. The Fmq-Kit Tablet is primarily metabolized in the liver and enters into enterohepatic circulation. Thus, there will be increase in serum concentration and half-life of Fmq-Kit Tablet.

Pituitary activity: Fmq-Kit Tablet is contraindicated for patients who have uncontrolled thyroid or adrenal dysfunction, or who have an organic intracranial lesion such as a pituitary tumour. Fmq-Kit Tablet interacts with oestrogen receptors in several tissues, including the pituitary, causing a rise in pituitary gonadotropin secretion.

Fmq-Kit Tablet is contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled thyroid, adrenal dysfunction or pituitary tumour.

Uncontrolled adrenal dysfunction : Fmq-Kit Tablet is contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled adrenal function. Adrenal dysfunction can make pregnancy difficult. Fmq-Kit Tablet therapy may cause changes in steroid production and/or fluid balance.

How does the disease interact with Fmq-Kit Tablet:
Hyperlipidemia: Some patients who are on Fmq-Kit Tablet therapy have reported hypertriglyceridemia. Preexisting hyperlipidemia or a family history of hyperlipidemia, Higher doses of Fmq-Kit Tablet for a long period are related to an increased risk of hypertriglyceridemia. In this conditions, Monitor plasma triglycerides regular basis and also at base line before initiating the therapy with Fmq-Kit Tablet.

How to manage the interaction:
Hypertriglyceridemia may occur during Fmq-Kit Tablet therapy, especially in patients with a family history of hyperlipidemia and use of higher than the recommended dose and/or longer duration of treatment. Periodic monitoring of plasma triglycerides is recommended in patients with preexisting or family history of hyperlipidemia. Pretreatment screening of triglyceride levels is advised in patients initiating Fmq-Kit Tablet therapy.

  • Stay active and shed excess weight if you are overweight or obese. Do not perform intense exercises as they may negatively impact your reproductive health. Increase the intensity of exercise gradually.
  • Being underweight may also reduce your chances of getting pregnant. So, prepare a diet chart that can help you gain weight healthily. 
  • Avoid stress as it may decrease your chances of getting pregnant. Try relaxation techniques and receive support and counselling if necessary. 
  • Limit alcohol and caffeine intake.
  • Quit smoking.
