Drug Warnings

Before using this medication, you should notify your doctor if you are pregnant or attempting to conceive. You should not breastfeed if you are receiving Flucloxacillin Injection. If you are breastfeeding while receiving Flucloxacillin Injection therapy, inform your doctor. Flucloxacillin, especially in large doses, may lower potassium levels in the blood (hypokalaemia). During flucloxacillin therapy with greater doses, your doctor may monitor your potassium levels on a frequent basis.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interactions: Exacellin 1 gm Injection 1's may interact with oral contraceptives that contain oestrogen, a drug used for the treatment of gout (e.g. probenecid), a drug used in the treatment of cancer (e.g. methotrexate) and certain other “bacteriostatic” antibiotics (e.g. chloramphenicol and tetracycline).
