Envas Injection 1 ml
About Envas Injection 1 ml
Envas Injection 1 ml is an anti-hypertensive medicine primarily used in the treatment of Hypertension. It is used when the oral treatment is not effective. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a serious condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes high, and this hardens the heart to pump blood.
Envas Injection 1 ml contains Enalaprilat, which belongs to the class of Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It works by decreasing the production of certain substances responsible for increased blood pressure.
Envas Injection 1 ml may cause certain common side effects such as cough, dizziness, headache, nausea, light-headedness, difficulty breathing, vomiting, confusion, sore throat, chest pain, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, decreased blood pressure, nervousness, injection site reactions, and hoarseness. These side effects do not require medical attention and usually resolve after some time. Envas Injection 1 ml will be administered by a trained healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
Avoid receiving Envas Injection 1 ml and inform your doctor if you are allergic to it. Envas Injection 1 ml is contraindicated in patients with angioedema related to previous treatment with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor and hereditary or idiopathic angioedema. This medicine should be used with caution if you have/had any conditions such as congestive heart failure, liver or kidney disease, and peripheral oedema (swelling of hands/legs). It is not recommended to take this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Drug Warnings
Avoid receiving Envas Injection 1 ml and inform your doctor if an allergic reaction occurs. Envas Injection 1 ml is contraindicated in patients with angioedema related to previous treatment with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor and hereditary or idiopathic angioedema. Envas Injection 1 ml is not recommended for use in children as the safety and efficacy are not established. On rare occasions, ACE inhibitors have been linked to a syndrome that begins with cholestatic jaundice, advances to fulminant hepatic necrosis, and occasionally results in death. When jaundice or significant elevations in hepatic enzymes occur in patients taking ACE inhibitors, the medication should be stopped, and appropriate medical attention should be given. Before receiving Envas Injection 1 ml, caution should be exercised in patients with congestive heart failure, liver disease, kidney disease, hyperkalaemia, angioedema, cough, and peripheral oedema (swelling of hands/legs). In some patients, this medicine may cause head and neck angioedema, severe anaphylactic reactions, hypotension, hepatic failure, and neutropenia. Hence, inform your doctor about your complete medication and medical history. Avoid consumption of alcohol during the treatment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor beforehand.

Disease/Condition Glossary
Hypertension: Also called high blood pressure, is a serious condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes high. This hardens the heart to pump blood. Raised blood pressure can cause chest pain (angina), heart attack (when the blood supply to the heart is blocked), stroke (brain damage) and kidney failure. Envas Injection 1 ml is used in treating hypertension and thus helps reduce further risk. The blood pressure can be diagnosed with the help of a blood pressure monitor called a sphygmomanometer.
