Cyproheptadine works by inhibiting the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin), thereby helping to stimulate the appetite. Tricholine works by removing excess bile acid production. The liver then produces more bile acid utilizing more cholesterol in this process, which in turn lowers the fat content in the child's body.
