About DYRADE M TABLET

DYRADE M TABLET belongs to a group of medicines known as antibiotics used to treat various infections caused by bacteria and parasites (amoeba). It is prescribed for the treatment of diarrhea caused by microorganisms Clostridium difficile, Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia. Additionally, it also treats vaginal and other bacterial infections. Infections caused by amoeba usually happen due to drinking contaminated water or eating food that contains contaminated water. Diarrhea is defined as loose, watery stools or frequent movement of the bowel.

DYRADE M TABLET contains two medicines namely: Metronidazole and Diloxanide. DYRADE M TABLET contains Metronidazole which is an antibiotic , it treats the infection by damaging the DNA of the organism and does killing the bacteria. Diloxanide is an amoebicide. It works inside the large intestine to kill the infection causing amoeba (parasites). Altogether DYRADE M TABLET kills the bacteria and parasites. DYRADE M TABLET does not treat a viral infection like flu or a common cold.

Take DYRADE M TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take DYRADE M TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. Some common side effects of DYRADE M TABLET are nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, loss of appetite, dry mouth and metallic taste. If these effects appear and are bothersome, call your doctor or pharmacist.

Use of DYRADE M TABLET is contraindicated in the patient suffering from central nervous system (CNS) diseases like seizures (fits). DYRADE M TABLET should not be used during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester. So, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant. You should not breastfeed while taking DYRADE M TABLET as it passes into the breastmilk, and can affect the baby. Directions for Use

Tablet: Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.Syrup/suspension: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.
