Dubinor PM Capsule 10's

Dubinor PM Capsule 10's is a combination medication indicated for the management of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to nerve damage or a malfunctioning nervous system. Symptoms of neuropathic pain include shooting, burning pain followed by tingling and numbness (loss of sensation). Neuropathic pain can be caused due to amputation of limbs, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to excess blood sugar level), excessive alcohol intake (alcoholism) and cancer treatment via chemotherapy.

Dubinor PM Capsule 10's contains Pregabalin (anticonvulsant), Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), Alpha-lipoic acid (antioxidant), Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), and Folic acid (vitamin B9). Pregabalin affects the chemicals in the brain that send pain signals to the nervous system, thereby relieving nerve pain and lowering the risk of seizures (fits). Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine hydrochloride help in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and the brain. Folic acid helps in delivering essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Dubinor PM Capsule 10's provides relief from neuropathic pain.

Use Dubinor PM Capsule 10's as prescribed by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Please do not stop taking Dubinor PM Capsule 10's without consulting your doctor, as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Consult your doctor before starting Dubinor PM Capsule 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Dubinor PM Capsule 10's may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Dubinor PM Capsule 10's as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Dubinor PM Capsule 10's should not be given to children as safety and effectiveness have not been established.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Dubinor PM Capsule 10's may have interaction with antidepressants (amitriptyline, duloxetine), pain killers (codeine, morphine, tramadol), anti-convulsant (gabapentin, phenobarbital), anti-anxiety (diazepam), anti-diabetic (metformin), immunosuppressant (methotrexate), anti-rheumatoid (sulfasalazine), antibiotic (chloramphenicol), anti-cancer (altretamine), and anti-Parkinson’s (levodopa).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking Dubinor PM Capsule 10's as it might cause increased dizziness and sleepiness.

Drug-Disease Interaction:  Dubinor PM Capsule 10's may have interactions with disease conditions, such as suicidal tendencies, angioedema, creatine kinase elevations, peripheral oedema, malabsorption, and anaemia.

• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Meditation and yoga can help lower stress, decrease pain sensitivity and improves coping skills.
• Acupuncture can be helpful by stimulating pressure points.
• Using essential oils for massages can help increase circulation.

Neuropathic pain: It is a nervous disorder that occurs due to nerve damage caused by chronic progressive nerve disease, limb amputation, diabetes or due to infection or injury. The pain could be intermittent or continuous, felt as a prickling, stabbing, tingling or burning sensation. A feeling of numbness and loss of sensation is also common with neuropathic pain. Usually, the body sends the pain signals when there is an injury, but with neuropathic pain, the pain that is not triggered by an injury, the body sends the pain signals unpromptedly. Symptoms include spontaneous, un-triggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping, and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful).
