Dresin-V Vaginal Tablet 6's is a combination medicine used to treat vaginal infections. Vaginal infection is the infection of the vagina and vulva (tissue at the opening of the vagina), which occurs due to the overgrowth of bacteria and fungi. Vaginal infection can cause inflammation, itchiness, thick discharge, change in colour of the discharge, burning sensation or pain during urination, vaginal bleeding or spotting, and pain during intercourse.
Dresin-V Vaginal Tablet 6's is a combination of four drugs, namely: Clotrimazole (anti-fungal), Lactic acid bacillus (probiotic), Povidone-iodine (antiseptic), and Tinidazole (antibiotic). Clotrimazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering, thereby stopping the growth of fungi. Tinidazole kills bacteria by damaging their DNA. Povidone-iodine kills the micro-organisms by releasing iodine. Lactic acid bacillus helps in maintaining the health of the vagina by producing anti-infectious substances. Together, Dresin-V Vaginal Tablet 6's helps in treating vaginal infections.
