Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's belongs to a class of drugs known as anticoagulants or blood thinners. Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's is primarily used to prevent stroke (blood clots in the brain). It is also used to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in leg veins), and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lung) by reducing blood clot formation. Deep vein thrombosis is a medical condition in which blood clots form in deep veins, usually in the legs. Pulmonary embolism is a condition in which a blood clot blocks the arteries in the lungs.

Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's contains Dabigatran etexilate mesylate, which is a new oral blood thinner. It works by blocking a substance (a protein known as thrombin) in the blood and prevents blood clot formation. Therefore, Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's preventing blood clot formation in the body.

Take Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's as prescribed by your doctor. Drug-Drug Interaction: Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's may have interaction with other blood thinners (warfarin, phenprocoumon, heparin, acenocoumarol, clopidogrel, ticagrelor, prasugrel, acetylsalicylic acid, rivaroxaban). antifungal medicines (ketoconazole, itraconazole), medicines for heart disease (amiodarone, dronedarone, quinidine, verapamil), pain killers (acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, diclofenac), antibiotics (rifampicin, clarithromycin), antiviral/HIV medicines (ritonavir), medicines for fit disorder/epilepsy (carbamazepine, phenytoin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's may interact with Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's may interact with cranberry juice, noni juice, grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice, and green tea. Avoid foods rich in vitamin K such as coriander, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, collard greens, kale (leaf cabbage), black liquorice, turnip greens, avocados, and brussels sprouts as they may affect the activity of Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's. Also, avoid alcohol intake as it may increase the risk of bleeding.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Dabistar 150mg Capsule 10's should not be used in patients with a bleeding disorder, heart disease, and kidney disease.
