Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's is an anti-hypertensive medication primarily used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiac events like a heart attack in patients with coronary artery disease and who have had a heart attack and/or surgery to improve the blood supply to the heart. Hypertension (High blood pressure) is a condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes so high that it causes health problems, such as heart disease.

Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's contains Perindopril erbumine, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor; it reduces increased blood pressure by blocking a naturally occurring substance known as angiotensin II (that tightens your blood vessels). Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's relaxes and widens the blood vessels, thereby lowering the blood pressure and making it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. 

Take Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on the dosage and duration based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dizziness, headache, weakness, vomiting, and nausea. Most of these side effects of Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Try not to stop taking this medicine on your own, even if your blood pressure becomes normal; doing so may worsen your condition. Avoid taking Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below 18years. Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's may cause dizziness and weakness, so drive or operate machinery only if you are alert. Do not take Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of the contents, ACE inhibitors, if you are taking sacubitril, valsartan, or aliskiren. Inform your doctor if you have/had kidney problems, dialysis, heart problems, liver dysfunction, diabetes, dehydration, angioedema, collagen vascular disease, or primary aldosteronism. Consult your doctor if you develop signs of infection or jaundice. Avoid taking Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below 18years. Coversyl 4 mg Tablet 10's may cause dizziness and weakness, so drive or operate machinery only if you are alert. • Monitor your blood pressure daily and if there is too much fluctuation, then immediately contact your doctor.
• Inform your doctor if you are due to undergo any surgery, LDL apheresis (removal of cholesterol from blood), or desensitisation treatment.
• Regular kidney function, blood pressure, and electrolyte level monitoring are advised.

• Do regular physical activity or exercise for at least 150 minutes per week, or about 30 minutes most days of the week.
• Opt for a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy products.
• Limit intake of sodium chloride (table salt) in your daily diet.
• Quitting smoking is the best strategy to lower the risk of heart disease.
• Avoid chronic stress as it can raise your blood pressure. Try to enjoy and spend time with your loved ones to cope with stress and practice mindfulness techniques.
• Try to include heart-healthy omega 3 fatty acid containing food drinks in your daily diet. You can also use low-fat cooking oil like olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and coconut oil to lower your elevated blood pressure.
