Costigmin Injection 5 ml contains two medicines namely: Glycopyrrolate and Neostigmine. Costigmin Injection 5 ml should be used with caution in the medical history of asthma, breathing problems, stomach ulcers, high temperature, high blood pressure, heart attack, heart disease, overactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). Please let your doctor know if you have any other medical problems before starting Costigmin Injection 5 ml.

Costigmin Injection 5 ml belongs to a group of medicines called 'anticholinesterase agents/acetylcholinesterase inhibitors', primarily used to reverse the effects of muscle relaxant and anesthesia medicines used during surgery. Certain medicines like propofol, etomidate, ketamine which is an anesthetic medicine cause anesthesia (sedative action) during surgery. Several muscles relaxant medicines are also used during surgery like vecuronium, rocuronium relaxes the muscles during surgery.
