Co-Mupimet Ointment 5 gm is a dermatological antibiotic medication, primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections, impetigo, rosacea, and bacterial vaginal infection (bacterial vaginosis). Metronidazole belongs to the class of drugs called nitroimidazole antimicrobials. It exerts bactericidal (kills bacteria) action and inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis and cell growth.
