About Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop

Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop belongs to a group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial eye and ear infections. An ear infection occurs when bacteria invade the middle or outer ear, causing pain and inflammation. Bacterial eye infection occurs when pathogenic bacteria enter any eye portion, including the eyeball, conjunctiva, and cornea.

Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop contains Ciprofloxacin which has bactericidal activity. It works by suppressing the enzyme DNA gyrase, which is essential for bacterial DNA synthesis. As a result, Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop inhibits bacterial development and treats bacterial eye/ear infections.

You are advised to use Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. Sometimes, you may experience certain common side effects, such as discomfort, irritation, and stinging sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not use Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop if you are allergic to any of its components. Talk to your doctor if the irritation persists despite using Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop for a week or if it worsens. Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop contains Ciprofloxacin that has bactericidal activity. It works by suppressing the enzyme DNA gyrase, which is essential for bacterial DNA synthesis. As a result, Ciplox Eye/Ear Drop inhibits bacterial development and thereby treats external ocular infection of the eye, chronic suppurative otitis media, external otitis, malignant otitis externa and perioperatively in chronic otitis media.

Directions for Use

Wash your hands before and after use. Use the dropper provided by the pack to instill the drops into the eye/ear. Do not touch the tip of the dropper to the eye/ear or surrounding areas as it may contaminate the solution.
