Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's belongs to a class of medicines called calcium channel blockers which are primarily taken for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (chest pain). Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a lifelong or chronic condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes high. Higher this blood pressure, harder the heart has to pump. 

Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's contains Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker that acts by relaxing the blood vessels. This reduces the workload on the heart and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Thus, it helps to lower high blood pressure, reducing the chances of heart attack or stroke.

Take Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's with or without food as prescribed by your doctor with a full glass of water. Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's may be prescribed alone or in combination with other blood pressure lowering medicines depending upon your blood pressure levels. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other anti-hypertensive medicine. • Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's is generally advised for treatment of high blood pressure and other heart conditions.
• Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's should be taken at the same time every day for its maximum effects to be seen and for increased compliance.
• Consumption of Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's may cause dizziness. Avoid activities like driving while on this medication.
• Sudden drop of blood pressure may be seen while on this medication which might lead to dizziness. Changing your posture at a slower rate might help counter this. Drink plenty of fluids while on Cilidin 20 Tablet 15's .
• Ankle swelling is a commonly seen side effect with this drug. Consult your doctor if this or other side effects cause trouble or are persistent.

• Keep your weight under control with BMI 19.5-24.9.
• Do regular physical activity or exercise for at least 150 minutes per week, or about 30 minutes most days of the week. Doing this can help you to lower your raised blood pressure by about 5 mm of Hg.
• Opt for diet rich in whole grains, fruits, veggies and low-fat dairy products.
• Limit intake of sodium chloride (table salt) in your daily diet to 2300 mg per day or less than 1500 mg is ideal for most adults.

• Monitor your blood pressure daily and if there is too much of fluctuation then immediately contact your doctor.
• Try to include heart healthy omega 3 fatty acid containing food drinks in your daily diet. You can also use low fat cooking oil like olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and coconut oil can help in lowering your elevated blood pressure.
