About Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S

Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S belongs to a class of drugs called antivirals used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina of the eye in adult AIDS patients. Also, Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S is used to prevent CMV infection in patients who received an organ transplant from a donor infected with CMV. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis is a viral infection of the retina (light-sensing cells) caused by cytomegalovirus.

Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S contains Valganciclovir which works by getting converted to ganciclovir in the body and inhibits the multiplication of the virus. Thereby, it helps to control the infection.  

Take Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhea, loss of appetite, cough, headache, stomach pain, nausea, fever, tiredness, or sinusitis (sinus infection). Most of these side effects of Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Celvir 450Mg Tablet 2'S if you are pregnant as it may cause birth defects.
