Cefiwok XL 200 Tablet belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, ears, nose, throat, chest, and lungs. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Cefiwok XL 200 Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus.

Cefiwok XL 200 Tablet contains Cefixime, Dicloxacillin and Lactic acid bacillus. Cefixime and Dicloxacillin work by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival, thereby killing bacteria. Lactic acid bacillus belongs to the class of probiotics (live microorganisms that keeps the body healthy) that help to restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thus, it prevents diarrhoea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to prolonged intake of antibiotics.

Take Cefiwok XL 200 Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Cefiwok XL 200 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. Sometimes you may experience vomiting, nausea, dizziness, diarrhoea, stomach pain, indigestion, gas, headache, or vaginal itching. Most of these side effects of Cefiwok XL 200 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Hence, consult your doctor for other contraceptive methods, such as using non-hormonal birth control measures that include condoms, spermicide, or diaphragm. Drive only if you are alert, as Cefiwok XL 200 Tablet may decrease alertness, cause confusion, unusual muscle movements, or stiffness.
