About Carpela Tablet 21's

Carpela Tablet 21's is an oral hormonal combination, containing Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone used to treat symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) such as acne, excessive hair growth (hirsutism), and irregular periods. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common condition, which affects how women's ovaries work.

Carpela Tablet 21's is a combination of two hormonal medications, ethinylestradiol, and cyproterone used to treat PCOS symptoms such as acne, excessive hair growth (hirsutism), and irregular periods. Cyproterone, works by blocking a male hormone named androgen overproduction in the ovaries and reducing unwanted facial hair growth and acne. Ethinylestradiol, on the other hand, acts as an enhancer. It enhances the effect of cyproterone by reducing the amount of androgens in the blood. Collectively, they both effectively treat the symptoms of PCOS.

Carpela Tablet 21's can be taken with or without food in dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. For best results of Carpela Tablet 21's, take it at the same time every day. Disease/Condition Glossary

PCOS: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition, which affects how women's ovaries work. It is characterized by irregular and painful periods, excess androgen in the blood (leading to excessive facial hair and acne), and polycystic ovaries (ovaries become enlarge and the egg become surrounded by fluid-filled sacs).

Contraception: It is a procedure that aims to prevent pregnancy. A woman can only get pregnant if a man sperm fertilizes her egg. Contraception aims to prevent this from happening by keeping egg and sperm apart by stopping egg production or not letting the uterus wall become thick. As a result, no fertilization takes place, so contraception is a safe method for family planning.
