Caremox-AG-Plus Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, bone, soft tissue, joints, urinary tract, and respiratory tract. Caremox-AG-Plus Tablet may also be used to treat infectious diarrhoea. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria infect the body. Caremox-AG-Plus Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
Caremox-AG-Plus Tablet contains Amoxicillin, Clavulanic acid, and Lactobacillus sporogenes. Amoxicillin works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of amoxicillin against the bacteria. Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to the infection. Together, Caremox-AG-Plus Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.
