About CANDEX LOTION

CANDEX LOTION belongs to the class of anti-fungal medications known as imidazoles, primarily used to treat fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm, fungal nappy rash, fungal sweat rash and thrush. A fungal infection, also known as mycosis, is a skin infection caused by fungus.

CANDEX LOTION comprises clotrimazole, which works by destroying the fungus that causes the infection. CANDEX LOTION damages the fungal cell membrane and causes the components to leak out, thus killing the fungus and curing the infection.

In some cases, CANDEX LOTION may cause itching, redness, dryness, burning and stinging sensation. The majority of these side effects of CANDEX LOTION eventually fade away over time without the need for medical intervention. Consult your doctor if any side effects worsen or persist.

Consult your doctor if you are a pregnant or nursing mother. Do not use any other topical medications simultaneously along with CANDEX LOTION without a doctor's recommendation. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and all the medicines you are taking to rule out any side effects.

CANDEX LOTION contains clotrimazole, an antifungal medication used to treat various fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm, fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. Furthermore, it helps to alleviate the symptoms of thrush. CANDEX LOTION damages the fungal cell membrane and causes the components to leak out, thus killing the fungus and curing the infection.

Directions for Use

Lotion/cream/ointment: It is only for external use. Take a small amount of lotion/cream/ointment on the fingertip and apply a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid contact of lotion/cream/ointment with the nose or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. Wash your hands before and after using lotion/cream/ointment if your hands are not the affected area to prevent the spread of infection.Powder/Spray powder: Dust the powder over affected parts of the body or as directed by the physician.Spray: It is only for external use. Check the label for directions before using the spray. Shake well before each use. Spray the contents from a 5cm distance on the affected area. Do not spray near the eyes.Soap: Check the label for directions before use. Wet the skin with water and rub the soap to produce a rich lather. Wash thoroughly with water and pat dry.

Do not use CANDEX LOTION if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients. If you are pregnant or nursing, consult your doctor before starting CANDEX LOTION.   • Take warm baths with mild soap.
  • Don't share your bedding, towels, or clothes.

  • Do not scratch the infected area. Scratching the infected skin area may spread the illness to other body parts.
  • Avoid harsh soaps and deodorants or any such products.
  • Avoid intercourse till the thrush is treated.
  • Avoid or limit your consumption of alcohol and caffeine.
  • Reduce your intake of sugar, yeast, refined carbohydrates, and mouldy foods.
