Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's belongs to a group of combination medications called 'penicillin antibiotics' that works against various types of bacteria. Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's is generally prescribed for the prevention of various bacterial infections of the lungs, skin, kidneys, and bones. Bacterial infection occurs when bacteria enter the body and multiply and cause a reaction in the body.
Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's contains two medicines, namely Amoxicillin and Cloxacillin. Amoxicillin acts by destroying the outer protein layer thereby killing the bacteria (bactericidal). Cloxacillin blocks the third and last stage of synthesis of the outer layer (cell wall) of bacteria. Together Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's kills the bacteria and prevents the growth of bacterial infection.
Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's is an oral medicine available as dispersible tablet and capsule. The dose of Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's may depend upon the age (adults, children) and severity of condition. It can be taken after food to avoid stomach upset. Take it with a glass of water. Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's may cause certain side effects such as rash, vomiting, allergic reaction, stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea. Most of these side effects are mild and subside over time. However, if these persist contact your doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings
Let your doctor know if you have any hypersensitive reactions including upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gas, and mouth sores. Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's should not be given in patients who are allergic to cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics, a newborn baby with jaundice, and epilepsy (fits). Breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor before using $ their name. Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's should not be given with allopurinol (uric acid-reducing medicines) and other antibiotics like chloramphenicol, erythromycin, and tetracycline.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction: Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's should not be given with gout medicine (allopurinol, probenecid), and bacteriostatic drugs which prevent the growth of bacteria (chloramphenicol, erythromycin, and tetracyclines).
Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid eating high-fat meals as this makes it harder for your body to absorb Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's.
Drug-Disease Interaction: Blumox-Plus Capsule 15's should not be used in patients with liver disease (like jaundice), or glandular fever (viral infection with fever and sore throat.
