Augpen LB 375 mg Tablet 6's is a combination of three medicines: Amoxicillin, Clavulanic acid, and Lactobacillus. Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic and shows bactericidal (kills bacteria) activity. Clavulanic acid boosts the efficacy of Amoxicillin. Lactobacillus is used as a probiotic and helps in balancing the number of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract to manage diarrhea occurred due to antibiotic or infections. Together, Augpen LB 375 mg Tablet 6's helps in treating bacterial infections and coping with the side effect of the antibiotic, i.e. infectious diarrhea.
Augpen LB 375 mg Tablet 6's may not cause diarrhea or stomach upset as it contains lactobacillus. Lactobacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut which may have killed due to infections or with the use of antibiotics.
The common side-effects of Augpen LB 375 mg Tablet 6's are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, and gas. These side-effects usually go away without any medical attention after the completion of the course of therapy.
