Amgest 100mg Injection is also used to treat periods/menstruation in women of childbearing age who have not reached menopause but stopped having periods. It is also used to treat endometrial hyperplasia and female infertility.
Amgest 100mg Injection contains progesterone which is a female hormone. It helps regulate ovulation and menstruation in women. Amgest 100mg Injection induces secretory changes in the endometrium lining of the uterus, promotes breast development, relaxes the uterus, blocks the maturation and release of a follicle, and maintains pregnancy.
Amgest 100mg Injection will be administered by a trained healthcare professional; hence do not self-administer. This medicine may cause certain side effects such as dizziness, headache, mood changes, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, heartburn, and injection site reactions. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor immediately.
