Akmyth Capsule

Akmyth Capsule belongs to the class of 'Vitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies and neuropathic pain. Akmyth Capsule may be used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to damaged sensory nerves. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food.

Akmyth Capsule is a combination of four drugs: Alpha-lipoic acid (anti-oxidant), folic acid (vitamin), methylcobalamin and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine help in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and brain. Folic acid helps in providing essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Akmyth Capsule helps in providing relief from neuropathic pain.

Take Akmyth Capsule as prescribed by the doctor. Your doctor will decide the dosage and duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Akmyth Capsule may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and vomiting. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Please inform your doctor if you are known to be allergic to any of the components. Please tell your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food). If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother, please consult your doctor before taking Akmyth Capsule.

Inform your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food). Before starting Akmyth Capsule, let your doctor know if you have any blood disorders like pernicious anaemia before starting Akmyth Capsule. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Akmyth Capsule. Excessive alcohol consumption reduces absorption and increases the elimination of folic acid. Hence, please avoid alcohol while using the Akmyth Capsule.

• Clinical monitoring of folic acid, B12, and B6 levels through blood examinations is recommended. 
• Let your doctor and the laboratory staff know that you are using Akmyth Capsule since Pyridoxine may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen.
