Cipla 8x Shampoo, 100 ml is a combination of two drugs namely Ciclopirox and Zinc Pyrithione  that is primarily used to treat fungal infections of the skin such as seborrheic dermatitis (dry, flaky skin on face, scalp, chest, upper back or ears). The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stops the leakage of cell contents. Cipla 8x Shampoo, 100 ml causes holes in the fungal cell membranes and kills fungi. Thereby, clears fungal infection and provides relief from cracking, burning, scaling and itching caused due to infections.

Cipla 8x Shampoo, 100 ml belongs to a class of drugs called 'antifungal' primarily used to treat fungal infections. It is used to treat seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp characterized by dandruff, red skin, itching etc. Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin. Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness, and scaling of the skin.  

Cipla 8x Shampoo, 100 ml contains 'Ciclopirox and Zinc pyrithione'. Ciclopirox works by inhibiting the growth of fungus and reducing the infection. It causes membrane instability by accumulating inside fungal cells and interfering with protein transport across the fungal cell membrane. Zinc pyrithione slows the production of skin cells and helps reduce flakiness. As a result it clears dandruff, red skin, itching etc.
